ST. JOHN’S IS AN ARTIZO TRAINING CHURCH.

IF A CHURCH IS NOT A TRAINING CHURCH, IT IS A DYING CHURCH.

IF WE DO NOT EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION TO CONTINUE IN GOSPEL MINISTRY, THEN THE MESSAGE DIES WITH US.

The good news of Jesus Christ is preached today because faithful men and women passed it on from one generation to the next.

Artizo trains and mentors students of the gospel so that you, and those who come after, can have a  church based on biblical truth.

The New Testament calls all churches to equip and train people in gospel ministry who can, in turn, equip and train others. 2 Timothy 2:2 says, “so that we might guard the good deposit of the gospel, and entrust it to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.” Since 1998, Artizo has trained and mentored over 100 apprentices.

The Artizo curriculum provides an intensive hands-on two-year apprenticeship program for all aspects of ministry. Training and mentoring takes place at Artizo Training Churches. St. John’s is an Artizo Training Church.

How can we help?

Here are three things our whole church can provide to join in the work of training:

1. Opportunity – We accept and integrate our apprentices into the life of our church and provide them with real opportunities for hands-on ministry.

2. Encouragement – Our apprentices learn by doing. At times we expect them to stumble and fail, but we accept their failures and provide constructive feedback and encouragement.

3. Generosity – We are generous with our prayers for our Artizo apprentices. And we commit to giving financial support in response to the gospel mandate to train others.

The Artizo Institute is a separate organization from St. John’s Vancouver and is entirely funded by donations. Will you support this vital work?
